Creating, Modifying, and Deleting Assets

There are three main assets types maintainers will use most frequently.

Folders

Folders are containers for files and are helpful for to organize the file structure of your site. Clicking the plus symbol expands the folder and displays its contents. Click again to collapse. The php base-assets folder in the image to the right is an example of a folder icon.

Files

Files are typically documents or images that have been uploaded to Cascade. Once uploaded, they can be used and referenced throughout your site. The image to the right displays a text file titled deletenew-prevent.txt document as an example of a file asset icon.

Click here to learn how to upload documents, or here for uploading images.

Pages

Pages are a specific type of asset. The Index new-page asset to the right uses the page icon. A folder must contain a page asset titled index it if any other pages within the folder are to display.

The image to the right displays several different asset types organized in a typical pattern. The asset icons in the image to the right are:

  • Folder - Organizes and contains other assets.
  • File - A generic asset type. Usually used for images or documents.
  • Page - Contains the content for one of a website's webpagesweb pages.
