Categories Modules

This module can only be used in a row layout with 1 column.

Categories modules can have only one item, and it has a max limit of 15 items that can be added.

All categories modules have the following fields:

Category Type
You can make this module either text-based or list-based. A text based-category module will allow you have your content formatted as a paragraph. A list-based category module will allow you to have bulleted lists of content.

Category Title
This is the title of the category module, usually 6 words or less. In the example screenshot (the second one down on the right), the Category Title is "Text Category Title", "Another Text Category, and "List Category Title", etc.

Title URL
The title of a category item can be linked to a web page or document. Of the three choices available, only choose one:

  • Internal Web Page: to link to another web page within any site in Cascade Server
  • Internal Document (PDF file): to link to a document within any site in Cascade Server
  • External URL: to link to any web page or document that does not live in Cascade Server. Be sure to use the full URL

Text Category Module

All text-based category modules additionally have the following field:

This field is used for your text. It has an editor that allows you to format your content as needed with headings, lists, tables, links, etc.

Lists Category Module

All text-based category modules additionally have the following fields:

List Item
This field is used for your text. It has an editor that allows you to format your content as needed with headings, lists, tables, links, etc. 

List Item URL
A list item can be linked to a web page or document. Of the three choices available, only choose one:

  • Internal Web Page: to link to another web page within any site in Cascade Server
  • Internal Document (PDF file): to link to a document within any site in Cascade Server
  • External URL: to link to any web page or document that does not live in Cascade Server. Be sure to use the full URL

You can have as many list items in each category list as you want. However, we recommend you have 10 or less. Once your list becomes longer than that it may benefit your website yours to divide your list into sub-categories.
