Icon Modules
An icon module can be used to create a colorful button. They can be in a two, three, or four-column layout.

An icon module has the following fields:
Icon Class Name
This field can be left blank if you don't want to use an actual icon for your icon module. If you do want to use one, input the name of the specific icon you wish to use such as icon-email. A list of available icons can be found here; note that a valid MySanDiego login is necessary in order to access the page.
Has Background Image or Color?
Select "Yes" if you want to upload an image for the background of your icon module. If you want a specific color to be used create a web request. If you want a blank white background, leave it selected on "No."
This field can be left blank if you do not wish to use an image as the background of the icon module. This option will only appear if you selected "Yes" for the "Has Background Image or Color" option above. If so, use this option to find the image to link to in Cascade.
Title Field
This is the title of an individual icon button, usually 4 words or less. In the example screenshot, the Title is "Schedule an Appointment."
Caption/Blurb Field
This field is optional. This field can be used to provide more information to your user about what the button will take you to. It works exactly like a text module.
If you select "Yes" for this option, a user's browser will open a new tab to display the icon module's link when clicked. Otherwise, the browser will just direct the user to the new page in the same tab.
Internal URL
Browse to an internal page in Cascade if you want your icon button to link out to a web page. If you use this field, do not use External URL.
External URL (include http:// or https://)
Use this field when you want your icon to link to either an external page to Cascade or to a video. Be sure to use the full URL. If you use this field, do not use Internal URL.

Color Fields
Web Services has set default colors for the icon module, the background being a very light gray and the icon and text being a bright blue (our "immaculata" blue). After creating your icon in Cascade, you can submit a web request to have a specific USD color added to the background of your icon module. Here is a list of available icon colors; note that a valid MySanDiego login is necessary in order to access the page. The font color will have to be appropriate to the specific background color selected to maintain accessible color-contrast ratios.
