File Naming ConventionsIn Cascade, every File Name becomes a URL (web address), so for SEO purposes, file names have a few restrictions. - No capital letters
- Hyphens (and ONLY hyphens, no underscores) instead of spaces
- No special characters (this includes apostrophes, ampersands, accent marks, etc.)
- No punctuation, except for a period in a file suffix (e.g. .txt. .jpg, .png, .docx, etc.). This will only be found in document and image assets.
By default, when creating a new asset (which includes uploading a document or image into Cascade), the File Name field will have a default value that follows these conventions. Examples include the following: - new-folder
- new-page
- new-document
- new-image
