To edit a file locked in Workflow, the automatically generated email for a specific Workflow can be used as an alternative to navigating all the way through Cascade.
Clicking the email link for "View the Workflow screen" will move you ahead to the beginning of step 4 of Making Assigned Modifications in Workflow.
