The electronic and physical reserves system allows faculty to view and manage courses and reserve items using a web interface. From the same web interface, students can view courses the reserve items associated to them.
Faculty and student records, as well as course records are imported from the USD Banner system. Email libservices@sandiego.edu if you have any questions or concerns.
The basic workflow:
- Faculty log in and activate courses.
- Faculty provide or request an reserve items to associate with the course
- Library Reserves staff reviews requested items and performs other necessary processing tasks using the staff client
- Student accesses course and items via the Ares web page
