The testing below is specifically for checking the usability of the login screens and administrative pages for EZProxy. It is NOT meant to be an exhaustive testing of links.
Our configuration for EZProxy is set up so that if users are ON CAMPUS, they should not be prompted to login to third party databases.

Below are some sample EZProxied links that you can use to test:
Considerations
  • First, if we are specifically testing the login experience, remember you HAVE to be off campus or using a hotspot/cell phone to mimic off campus. Otherwise you'll go directly to the resource links.
  • You'll probably have to clear your cache over and over again while testing because once you login once successfully, it will remember you across platforms

Tasks
  • Login with USDOne credentials
  • Login with Visiting Patron credentials (contact Bee if you don't have any sample credentials to use)
  • Enter incorrect credentials for USDOne, and then try again
  • Enter incorrect credentials for Visiting Patron, and then try again
  • Change your Sierra Visiting Patron account to have an outdated expiration date and make sure you get the account expired message.
  • Try proxying a fake link (ie, https://sandiego.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http://www.fruitloops.com) to make sure it gives you the Oops screen
  • Be creative! Do weird things and see what weird experiences you can have.

Devices, Browsers, Systems
Test on several different devices (cell, tablet, desktop) and variety of browsers to make sure experience is more or less the same.
