Alma Migration

Alma Migration

Needs

USD libraries have been using a version the same Innovative software for 30 years. While software capabilities have grown exponentially, Innovative code has remained beholden to its original 1970s structure. The Innovative Sierra system is unable to meet the needs of students and faculty, particularly in the area of electronic resources.

 Objective

USD has elected to migrate to Ex Libris Alma (replacing Sierra), Primo (discovery layer replacing Encore), and Rapido (includes RapidILL and Circuit).
