Site Navigation Overview
All navigation elements are managed from within Cascade Server. Primary Navigation changes no longer have to be submitted to web@sandiego.edu. Any navigation updates require the entire site to be published.
Two Navigation Bars
There are two types of navigation bars on USD's live sites. One is the Primary Navigation, and the other is the Secondary Navigation. In the image to the right, Primary Navigation is outlined on top, and Secondary Navigation is outlined on the left.
Primary Navigation
The Primary Navigation Bar is controlled by the Display in Navigation option under the Edit Tab for a page. It appears just above the page's breadcrumbs. Top-Level Navigation does not have rollover events.
Secondary Navigation
Secondary Navigation appears on the left side of a page. If the selected page has dependent pages, the Secondary Navigation will expand and display child pages.
