Setting up your Zebra GX430t to print Serials labels
Installing Zebra Technologies Print Drivers
THIS CAN BE DONE LOGGED IN TO THE non-ADMIN account
Go to https://www.zebra.com/us/en/support-downloads/desktop/gx430t.html
Scroll to the middle of the page and click on the Drivers tab
Click on the download link for the "ZebraDesigner driver 32/64 bit. Certified for Windows" file for Windows 7 and Windows 10.
Click on the "Accept and Begin Download Now" button
Save the .exe file to your desktop
Open the .exe file
Click Next
Use the default extraction location "C:\"
Click Next, Next, Next
Uncheck "Run the printer installation wizard" and "View release notes"
Click Finish to install the drivers
Setting up Serials Label Printer Profile
Click the Windows Start button
Choose Devices and Printers
Click Add a printer
Choose Add a local printer
Click Next
Choose Create a new Port
Standard TCP/IP Port
Click Next
For Hostname or IP address, enter the printer's IP address
Click Next
For Device Type, select Standard → Generic Network Card
Click Next
For Manufacturer, choose ZDesigner
For Printers, choose the latest version of Zdesigner GX430t
Do not choose the GX430t (EPL)
Click Next
Change the printer name to Serials Checkin ZDesigner GX430t (Or something else easily distinguishable from other printers that you have set up on your computer)
Select Do not share this printer
Click Next
Uncheck Set as the default printer
Click on the Print test page
Click Finish
Click the Windows Start button
Open Devices and Printers
Right Click Serials Checkin ZDesigner GX430T
Click on Printing Preferences
Configure the Options tab according to below image:
Open on the Advanced Setup tab
Under Tracking Mode, select Web Sensing
Click Apply
Click OK
Sierra has to be rebooted if its open during the printer install or configuration
Sierra Setup
Go to File → Sierra Printer → Label Printer
Select Local Printer
For the General Tab, select Serials Checkin ZDesigner GX430t
For Page Setup tab, change margins to 0
For Format tab, change format to Graphic, and font size to 10
Click OK and Restart Sierra
