Student Scholarships

Overview

This resource lists undergraduate and graduate student scholarships for which prospective and current students of the University of San Diego can apply. Available options display on the Student Scholarships page.

If your school or department is interested in contributing scholarships for display in the system, please complete an online web request to get started. If approved, your MySanDiego username will be provisioned for the system.

The following documentation assumes that you have been provisioned with an account. You must be running an up-to-date version of your browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Safari) to ensure functionality.

Visit the USD Manage System to get started and click on Student Scholarships - New.

Add a Scholarship

  • Click on Add a Scholarship in the left-hand menu.

  • Type of scholarship

    • Internal: offered by the University of San Diego

    • External: offered by an organization other than the University of San Diego

  • Name of Scholarship

  • Scholarship Target Audience

    • Undergraduate/Graduate

    • Select All if the scholarship applies to all

  • Application Deadline: note that the scholarship will self-remove from the website once this date has passed

  • Date to Check Back: if there is no deadline available, enter a check back date so that students know when they can return to the website for future availability for that scholarship

  • Scholarship Annual: if the scholarship is available annually, note it here

  • Diversity: select any/all that apply

  • Scholarship Basis: need/merit-based

  • Purpose: scholarship purpose

  • Candidate Description: description of an ideal candidate

  • Minimum Award: fill this in if there is a ‘low’ range for the scholarship

  • Maximum Award

    • Fill this in if there is a ‘high’ range for the scholarship

    • If the scholarship is a set amount, enter it here

  • Number of Awards: enter a number if there are multiple scholarships available

  • More Information: any other information about the scholarship that might be beneficial for the applicant

  • URL: where the student can find more information and/or can apply

  • USD Faculty Contact

  • Schools/Programs: select any/all that apply

Manage Existing Scholarships

  • Click on Manage Existing Student Scholarships in the left-hand menu.

  • Use the filters or use the pagination (bottom) to find the scholarship you would like to edit.

  • Click the pencil icon to the right of the scholarship name to edit.

  • Click the x icon to the right of the scholarship to delete.

Add a Program

  • Click on Add a Program in the left-hand menu.

  • Program Name

  • Associated School

  • Program Link

Manage Existing Programs

  • Click on Manage Existing Programs in the left-hand menu.

  • Find the program you wish to edit; programs are grouped by school.

  • Click the pencil icon to the right of the program name to edit.
