Asset Actions

Asset Actions can be found in two locations. The Asset Action Bar and the Asset Action Menu. Asset Actions are content specific, meaning whichever asset was used to access the Asset Actions will be the only file modified by those actions.

Asset Action Bar

The Asset Action Bar always appears directly above the Workspace. Use the Asset Action Bar and its sub-menus to work with the selected page.

  • View – Displays a preview of the page.
    • Layout – Default view when a file is selected from the Explorer. Not all page elements will display, such as data from MyPostings, social media feeds, and your department's contact information.
    • Preview – Displays a more accurate view of how the final published site will appear. Preview View will NOT display any referenced data (e.g. forms, news feeds, MyPostings, etc.). However, the modules and borders containing that data should display in an accurate approximation.
    • Live – Previews page by displaying all elements. The page must be published at least once before this view will display.
  • Edit – Edit page content.
  • Copy – Copy the file to another location.
  • More – Displays the DeleteReference, and Versions menu items.
    • Delete – Deletes the file. Deleted files are sent to the Recycle Bin. Items in the Recycle Bin are kept for 30 days before they are purged completely.
    • Reference – Link to any previously created page.
    • Versions – View previous versions of the file.

Asset Action Menu

The Asset Action Menu functions identically to the Asset Action Bar. The difference is that the Asset Action Menu is accessed by clicking the Options Arrow next to any folder or file.

Assets being modify in the Asset Action Menu may be for a different asset than the one displayed in the Workspace.
