Archiving

If the Cascade version (so, this does NOT pertain to end users viewing your email) of your email will not continue to be reused, remember to archive it by moving it to your school's or department's _archive folder. 


Step 1: Select, Right-Click, and Move

  • Select the asset to move in the Explorer.
  • Right-click the asset.
  • Select Move.





Step 2: Change Placement Folder

  • Click the New Folder button.





Step 3: Browse Tab

  • If the new placement folder displays under the Recent tab, select it and skip to step 6.
  • If the new placement folder does not display under the Recent tab, click the Browse tab.





Step 4: Select the New Containing Folder

  • Select the appropriate containing folder. In the example, the soles folder is selected. However, if you work for the School of Law, then select the law folder. If you work for a USD department outside of a school, look for your departmental folder under the departments folder.





Step 5: Select the Appropriate Archive Folder

  • Select your department's _archive folder.





Step 6: Confirm

  • Make sure the correct _archive folder has a dot in the selection bubble to its left, and that the file path is accurate. In the example image, the file path is emails/soles/_archive.





Step 7: Choose

  • Once everything is correct, click the Choose button.





Step 8: Confirmication - Part Deux

  • The New Folder selector should now show the corret _archive folder and it's file path under it.





Step 9: Start Workflow

  • Click Start Workflow to get to the Start Workflow page.





Step 10: Start Workflow Again - Once is Never Enough

  • Click Start Workflow to actually start the Workflow.





Step 11: Back to Page

  • Click the Back to Page link to return to your moved asset.





Step 12: Confirmification 3 - The Confirmaning!

  • Check your asset in the Explorer to make sure it is now in the correct _archive folder.
