How to Modify Quick Links

Step 1: Select Customize from the Appearance Option

In the Tool Pane, hover over the Appearance option to make the shortcut menu appear, then select the Customize option.

Step 2: Select Widgets from the Customize Panel

In the Customize Panel, click on Widgets option.

Step 3: Select Main Sidebar

Select Main Sidebar from the customizing widgets panel.

Step 4: Select Quick Links

Select Customize Menu: Quick Links from the customizing widgets main sidebar panel.

Step 5: Edit Menu

Select the Edit Menu button from under the Custom Menu: Quick Links area of the customizing widgets main sidebar panel.

Step 6: Add or Edit Quick Links

Click the dropdown arrow next to the desired link to edit an already existing quick link. Then skip down to step 8.

Click the Add Items button to add a new quick link.

Step 7: Adding a New Quick Link

To create an internal link to a page in your WordPress site, select the correct page from the Pages section.

To create an external link, click Custom Links.

Step 8: Fill in Fields

Fill in the fields.

URL: Copy and paste the URL from the site you want the link to navigate to. For instance - http://staging.sandiego.edu/training/

Link Text: Type in the words for the link. Example - Training Site

When the fields are filled in correctly, click the Add to Menu button.

Step 9: Save & Publish

Once the quick link has been added, click the Save & Publish button to confirm the changes and make them go live.

Step 10: Remove a Quick Link

To remove a quick link, follow steps 1 through 5 to get back to quick link selection.

Select the correct link to delete.

Click the Remove option at the bottom of the quick link's area.

Click Save & Publish once the link is removed to save and publish the change.
