Asset Actions

Asset Actions can be found in two locations. The Action Bar and the Shortcut Menu. Asset Actions are content specific, meaning whichever asset was selected when the Asset Actions are accessed will be the only asset modified by those actions.

Action Bar

The Asset Action Bar always appears directly above the Workspace. Use the Asset Action Bar and its sub-menus to work with the selected page.

  • Edit – Edit page content.
  • Publish – Copy the file to another location.
  • Details Displays multiple additional details about the selected asset.
  • More Displays a dropdown menu listing all available Asset Actions.



More Button

Lists a dropdown menu with more options.

  • Move – Default view when a file is selected from the Explorer. Not all page elements will display, such as data from MyPostings, social media feeds, and your department's contact information.
  • Rename - Displays the Modifier Pane with the Rename Window showing.
  • Copy - Displays the Modifier Pane with the Copy Window showing.
  • Delete - Displays the Modifier Pane with the Deletion Window showing.
  • Unpublish - Displays the Modifier Pane with the Unpublish Window showing.
  • Check-out/Lock - Immediately locks the asset to your account so that no one else can edit it. Click the Break Lock button in the Action Bar to unlock it.
  • Relationships - Displays the Modifier Pane with the Relationships Window showing. The Relationships Window shows all assets that link to or reference content on the selected asset.
  • Audits - Displays the Modifier Pane with the Audit Window showing. The Audit Window shows all user actions taken on an asset.
  • Versions - Displays the Modifier Pane with the Version Window showing. The Audit Window shows a change log for edits made to the selected asset.
  • Reference - Displays the Modifier Pane with the Create Reference Window showing. References allow assets to be indexed in different folders in the site tree when generating navigation and other dynamic content listings.
  • Show Regions - Displays the Slider Pane with the Region Window showing. Regions display the different code blocks used to make different areas of the asset such as the header, body, and footer.
  • Tasks - Displays the Modifier Pane with the Asset Tasks Window showing. This allows a user to see any specific tasks assigned to them.
  • Full Screen Preview - Opens a new tab in your browser displaying the content area of the selected asset.
  • Rendering Metrics - Displays the Modifier Pane with the Rendering Metrics Window showing. This shows how long it takes to build each section of the page.
  • Live – Previews page by displaying all elements. The page must be published at least once before this view will display.
