Relationships

Relationships are how assets relate to one another through links. Unlike everything else in Cascade, relationships don't exist as independent objects. Whenever a link is created on a page that links internally to another page in Cascade, it automatically forms a trackable relationship.

Being able to see relationships is important because it speeds up certain activities. For instance, when copying a page asset, other pages that linked to the original do not automatically link to the new copy. Viewing relationships on the original will make it easier to change those links to point to the new copy if necessary.

There are three ways to view an asset's relationships:

1) Right-click an asset and select Relationships from the Shortcut Menu.

2) Select the asset so it populates the Workspace. Then, click the More button in the Action Bar and select Relationships from the dropdown menu.

3) Select the asset so it populates the Workspace. Then, use the keyboard shortcut by pressing the "L" key. No need for it to be capitalized.

The Modifier Pane displays with the Relationships Window showing.

Every asset listed is a page, external link, or reference that links to the originally selected asset.
